Exciting Senior Level Position with this Fortune 500 oil and gas operating company searching for the talented individual with a strong background in Quality Assurance and Quality Control for subsea and topside hardware. You will take lead responsibility for developing and managing all aspects of the oversight quality management of the fabrication/testing and final commissioning of Project Subsea and Topside Hardware. Must be highly motivated individual with strong communication skills and ready to replace the manager upon his retirement. This is a very high visibility/high impact role with exposure to the Board of Directors. Job Description:
Corporate Major Projects is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to provide primary Project support in the Materials, Welding and General Project Quality Assurance fields.
Develops and implements methods and procedures, plans, specifications and designs to ensure proper quality assurance in all disciplines for a Project(s).
Directs, coordinates, and conducts audits/inspections of contractors/subcontractors involved in all aspects of the Project.
Develops and manages all aspects of the oversight quality management of the fabrication/testing and final commissioning of all aspects of Project Subsea and Topside hardware.
Provides guidance, direction, and assistance to the PMT on materials selection, welding, and potential corrosion issues
Develops reports and recommendations concerning the resolution of Project related quality problems to management.
Works with the Global Procurement Group in the development of Project related RFQs, bid assessments and clarification meetings associated with the procurement of long lead items for the Project.
Participates in the assessment of major contractors for potential major contract awards.
Maintains current awareness of new and developmental materials/welding/corrosion issues associated with Subsea projects. Establishes and maintains contact with peers in other oil companies, manufacturers, governmental agencies, and professional organizations.
Conducts failure analysis, and root cause analysis of any failure that occurs during the project - makes recommendations to prevent re-occurrence
Participate in developing and/or revising standards, specifications, and procedures for the procurement, testing, installation, and commissioning of subsea equipment and related services
Degree: Bachelors required - Post Graduate preferred
Major Discipline: Technical, Engineering, Materials, or other related majors
Years Experience Required: At Least 15 years experience in technical support services, to US and Overseas Projects
