Work rotation: 49/21 days
You will join our Client’s Tripoli based G&G team, where you will perform tasks and give advise and support as may be required. This is a long term requirement.
Principal Function:
Control the quality of the incoming and older logs, make log interpretations and build petrophysical models
Principal Tasks:
Load raw logs at reception for quality control and environmental corrections if required; unload and replace with final logs at reception. Keep the log database clean and tidy.
Control the quality of the rush logs and keep contact with the Contractors for all corrections and until reception of the final logs for each well. Keep track of the Contractor performance in the Company folder. Compute a rush interpretation and then the final one.
Make an interpretation of the current petrophysical parameters, porosity, Vcl/Vsh, Sw in Elan and in IP using SCAL data if available, or review later on when SCAL are available; otherwise use the fields model.
Calculate permeability with neural networks
Perform electrofacies and rock typing with fuzzy logics, neural network, with logs and core data.
Build and maintain field scale petrophysical models.
Map areal and vertical parametric variations (for example formation water salinity, permeability) in fields and between fields and link to the rock types, diagenesis, tectonic events, etc…
Bring support for core depth shifts
Skills, experience and knowledge criteria:
Several years of experience in log analysis
Strong knowledge in rock physics, CCA and SCAL
Knowledge of logging tools other than the currently used ones an advantage.
Ability to support GS in establishing the logging programs whenever needed;
Ability to transfer knowledge and know-how to the G&G staff;
Show knowledge of the mudlogs.
Good written English skills
Employment terms:
Regular flights and travel insurance from UK to Tripoli, accommodation, local transportation and medical insurance will be provided. Client is also responsible for the payment of Libyan taxes
You will work on a 49/21 work/ leave rotation, 6 days per week @ 8 hours per day.
