Senior Materials and Corrosion Engineer

In Woodside's Project Development Division, you will provide technical advice on materials selection and corrosion control to our developing projects. Materials selection requires knowledge of corrosion and erosion modeling as well as degradation processes for metallic and non-metallic materials. Corrosion control should include coating systems, corrosion inhibition and cathodic protection. You will ensure industry best practice is applied across a range of our world class projects with a strong focus on integrity management. You will have a significant impact on enabling projects to reach their maximum business value.

You will use your specialist knowledge in materials and corrosion engineering, to advise projects while also helping maintain Woodside's materials and corrosion management standards and quality requirements. You will assist project suppliers and contractors in understanding materials selection and corrosion control technical requirements, in addition you will be required to review materials specifications and provide technical input into the prequalification stage.


You will be an experienced senior materials and corrosion engineer with a tertiary qualification in a related field and significant experience working in the oil and gas, process industry or a major utility organisation.
