Aker Solutions’ Tie-in and Structures team, based at Fornebu, is responsible for delivering Subsea structures and tie-in systems that meet operators’ requirements for easier, quicker and more flexible solutions for both installation and operations. We need individuals with background from mechanical engineering, structural engineering or piping who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the Subsea market.
We have an open position as: Piping Lead Engineer.
Responsibilities and tasks
The position involves responsibility for all piping engineering within the Work Package.
· Responsible for all technical aspect of the projects, including responsibility for the engineering function and engineering method for Piping
· Responsible for follow up HSE related matters within the Piping engineering group
· Plan and manage all piping engineering activities.
· Prepare MDL for all piping documents.
· Manage internal and external piping interfaces
· Prepare and present Piping part of Design Reviews
· Delegate work to Piping Engineers within the work package.
· Give technical support to procurement, subcontractors and fabricators
· Personnel responsibility for the Piping engineering group.
· Responsible for maintaining and updating all Piping engineering related procedures and drawings within the department
· Give technical support to procurement, sales and tendering activities
Qualifications & personal attributes
- MSc or equivalent degree in Engineering within Mechanical or Piping
- 4 to 7 years engineering experience, preferably from offshore design and fabrication
- Strong design and engineering skills
- Ability to work in teams
- Good English knowledge, verbally and written
- Good communications skills, both verbal and written
