Aker Solutions’ Tie-in and Structures team, based at Fornebu, is responsible for delivering Subsea structures and tie-in systems that meet operators’ requirements for easier, quicker and more flexible solutions for both installation and operations. We need individuals with background from mechanical engineering, structural engineering or piping who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the Subsea market.

We have an open position as:  Manifold Design Lead Engineer.

Responsibilities and tasks

The position involves responsibility for all design engineering (3D-modelling and drawing production) within the Work Package.

·         Design responsibility within the Work Package.

·         Plan Design activities.

·         Prepare MDL for drawing documents.

·         Confirm that layout and functionality of the product is according to project requirements.

·         Handle internal interfaces with respect to layout and access for operational tasks.

·         Manage clash check routines towards relevant envelopes.

·         Design reviews

·         Delegate work to Design Engineers within the work package.

.          Responsible for maintaining and updating all Design engineering ated procedures and drawings (PEM, SolidWorks and SAP)

Qualifications & personal attributes

·         4 to 7 years experience, preferably  from subsea or offshore design and engineering fabrication

·         Good communication skills

·         Good English knowledge

·         Good technical educational background

·         Good knowledge of the CAD tool used (SolidWorks).

·         Sound and long time experience with the given products.
