Our client is one of Central Coastal Queensland leading regional contractors with a turnover in excess of $100m p.a. specialising in Mining Infrastructure Civil Engineering projects. With a well established reputation, our client is now looking to strengthen it current site team in Emerald, the Bowen Basin and Far North. All positions will be based out of Gladstone with you being flown to site on a flexible rota. Relocation packages to Gladstone are available.

This is a senior level and highly visible position with our client looking to make the right appointment. Whilst money should not be your main motivator, it is appreciated that with this level of responsibility, you will have a substantial remuneration package and profit/productivity related bonus scheme.

Your key objective as construction management is to efficiently direct the successful delivery of this construction project in terms of quality, cost (profitability), time, environmental, OH&S and industrial relations objectives. The successful applicant will have previous experience in similar projects entailing structures and concrete.

It is essential you demonstrate a leading personality and record of encouraging, motivating, leading and providing skills training for on and off site personnel, so as to develop and utilise the full scope of their abilities to enhance individual and team performances. Whilst delivering the project, you will be responsible for the direction, instruction and supervision of design and construction staff.

Additionally you must have the good business sense to be able to ensure the client's requirements are met and be very comfortable with representing your employers to external stakeholders and the local community whilst being able to liaise on all technical matters such as implementation of alternative designs or approaches during the construction phase.
