Queensland Resources & Mining Project / Well Known Leading Contractor / Brisbane Based Role/ Greenfield Construction

We are currently partnered with a leading contractor to the Mining and Resources sector. This company provides asset management, construction / project management, engineering, industrial maintenance and manufacturing services to customers in the resources sector. These sectors include oil and gas, petrochemicals, minerals and chemicals.

Our client has recently been awarded the principle contract for a landmark Queensland Project worth over $800 million. The project involves the greenfield construction of a large scale chemical plant which will be used to service the Mining and Resources sector.

We currently require a Cost Controller for the length of the project to be responsible and accountable for providing overall cost management, reporting and forecasting requirements for the site contracts.

The role will involve preparation of budgets, cost tracking, financial management of contracts, invoicing, and preparation of month end and expenditure reports.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience working in this capacity on large scale Heavy Industrial Construction projects for the principle contractor.

This is a Brisbane / site based permanent position with career development opportunities. The role will require substantial travel to site. This is an outstanding career development opportunity for a Cost Controller to be involved with one of Queensland largest high profile projects.
