Responsibilities:
a. Provides technical guidance to the project engineering staff during the pre-mobilization phase b. Provides management, supervision and coordination of a self-performed and contract managed work within assigned scope.
c. Executes field construction activities in accordance with the contract, project documents, cost estimates, schedules, safety standards and quality standards d. Controls project schedule and cost through the efficient use of construction resources including manpower, materials, tools and equipment e. Provides input for the development of project budgets and schedules f. Ensures daily and weekly short-range planning is communicated and executed down to the foreman level g. Reviews design scope and approach and provides constructability input h. Determines the optimal manpower levels to safely and efficiently execute the work to achieve schedule milestones i. Monitors manpower levels and craft mixes to ensure conformance with the construction plan j. Monitors craft productivity and cost and implements corrective action, as necessary, to maintain the budget and schedule k. Identifies potential scope changes and develops the information needed to support Fluor’s Change Impact Assessment program l. Ensure not out of scope work is started until an approved written change order is received m. Implements site safety, security procedures, and work rules n. Plays an active role in the development of Fluor’s safety culture and helps make safety a natural part of all work activities o. Manages the contractual obligations and commitments of contractors p. Executes the work in accordance with Fluor’s contractual quality obligations q. Maintains effective and efficient use of construction equipment and control of permanent plant materials and equipment, small tools, consumables, and supplies

Job Requirements
Minimum of 8 years mining experience, and 3 years Construction project lead
BS degree is preferred/recommended. Also previous experience in managing a workforce in Central or South America is preferred/recommended.
