Senior Electrical Engineer

The position requires a self starter with a knowledge of refining methods, a B.S. in Electrical Engineering,
minimum of ten (10) years experience in refining or petrochemical plants, be capable of communicating effectively and directing engineering contractors, construction contractors, operations and maintenance personnel, and
demonstrate a proficiency in project management of refinery type projects.

Significant experience in electrical distribution, equipment sizing, and systems design is required.

Experience with DCS (Honeywell) and PLC (tank systems gauging and blending) will be a plus.

This position reports to the Manager of Capital Projects and Design Engineering and will be responsible for electrical engineering activities at the Refinery including in-house projects and contract electrical engineering.

He/she coordinates capital projects that are primarily electrical in nature and also provides electrical engineering assistance to Operations and Maintenance to ensure that the Refinery power generation and distribution systems are safely and efficiently maintained.

This individual must be knowledgeable of electrical classification of hazardous areas, methods for management-of-change, familiar with codes and standards of NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and ANSI and is proficient in layouts, specification development, electrical one-line diagrams, flow diagrams, instrument loop diagrams, and piping and instrument diagrams.
