CH2M HILL Piping/Mechanical Superintendent Jobs - Central Alberta

As part of the construction team, the Piping Superintendent position provides you the opportunity to manage the execution and delivery of all piping requirements for our client's site. Our Piping Superintendent is responsible for managing and directing the piping group while maintain a productive and safe work environment. You should be a self-motivated professional highly organized and knowledgeable with a successful track record within the industrial construction industry spanning 5 to 10 years as a Piping Superintendent.

Our Piping Superintendents:

• Participate actively in the Project Safety Program Attend and actively participate in toolbox meetings
• Ensure all personnel under your direction are properly trained and qualified to do the task
• Actively participate in all incident investigations
• Ensure all personnel under your direction incorporate Commonwealth's quality control program and that it is properly implemented
• Develop a thorough knowledge of contract scope for your discipline
• Develop an overall work plan by construction work area for the completion of work including scaffold and tool list
• Work with the project scheduler to develop and update project schedules, specifically the three week look ahead schedule
• Develop manpower-loading schedules for your discipline to ensure manpower requests and camp space requests are submitted to meet project requirements
• Ensure all material, equipment, scaffold and tool requests are submitted in a timely manner to support the project schedule
• Submit daily crew time sheets with correct cost coding
• Submit weekly production progress reports to project controls to assist in the status, tracking and reporting of project work
• Submit daily report listing manpower and daily activities
• Attend and actively participate in superintendent meetings

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience working in a union trades environment
• Experience working with heavy industrial facility construction
• 5+ years electrical supervision
• 10+ years working in a electrician/trades role

Degree Required

High School or GED
