The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Mine Engineering Degree preferred with minimum of 5 years experience in operations leadership roles, will consider non-degreed candidates with 10 years supervisory experience in an underground environment

Ability to develop and administer an operating budget

Provide short and long term mine plans

Ability to review cost and production data and implement solutions to improve

Strong preventative maintenance program experience

Ability to supervise contracts

Daily planning and execution of a mine plan

Analyze and implement production efficiencies and safe work environmental practices

Strong emphasis and understanding of mine safety and MSHA Regulations

Possess or willing to obtain Blasting Certificate of Fitness

Knowledge of Mine Rescue rules and regulations

Ensure awareness and compliance with State, Local and Company regulations / guidelines

Strong verbal and written skills

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, used for communication, analyzing data and interpreting results
