Aker Offshore Partner Ltd based in Aberdeen, has excellent opportunities for talented individuals who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the engineering, construction, maintenance, modification and operations market.
We are currently looking for a Construction Manager for an 'ongoing contract' position, located just off Aberdeen City Centre.

Responsibilities and tasks
Deliver Aker Solutions Values and Leadership approach.
Ensure implementation of management processes, PEM and AKiMS.
Ensure safe, successful implementation of modifications offshore.
Assure excellence in construction delivery.
Identify, develop, maintain and improve construction procedures.
Leading, guiding and supporting the construction personnel and teams.
Interface with Engineering Design and Offshore Operations teams.
Estimating for and the development of work packs.
Management of mobilisation and logistics.
Responsibility for successful planning and delivery offshore.
Responsibility for supervision of labour.
Ensure safe and environmentally successful completion.
Management of materials, plant and equipment offshore.
Offshore site visits to monitor performance.
Develop and monitor staff competence

Qualifications & personal attributes
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
Educated to HNC level preferred
Full professional membership and able to demonstrate continuing professional development preferred
Chartered Engineer preferred
Fellow of relevant Engineering Institute preferred
Previous experience of managing a construction function on a Major Project or within major organisation.
Previous experience of contributing towards Construction and Company Strategy.
In depth understanding of the Offshore Oil & Gas Industry.
Legislation applicable to construction (DCR, LOLER etc.)
Task Risk Assessment.
Demonstrable UKCS experience of brownfield projects.
Demonstrable UKCS experience of leading and supervising labour.
Demonstrable experience in a functional leadership position.
Knowledge of and commitment to planning and cost control.
Ability to work on own initiative; self motivated, willingness to learn and adapt.
Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate effectively within the organisation and with external clients / customers.
Proactive, flexible and decisive, ability to be innovative and challenging in line with Company Values.
