A leading provider of optimization software solutions to the electric power industry, helping to reduce power plant emissions, increase fuel efficiency and improve equipment reliability is actively searching for Applications Engineers to work out their Boston MA, Cleveland OH, or Austin TX area operations. The Applications Engineers will lead open- and closed-loop optimization and simulation projects within customer base in the power industry, support the creation of new products, and provide technical support to Sales. Applications Team members are experts on each of the technologies utilized in our products, and are expected to execute high quality projects and maintain customer satisfaction. Candidates need a BS (ME, EE or ChE) -- Advanced degrees would be a plus and have 2+ years experience working with instrumentation & control systems (e.g. Bailey, Westinghouse, Foxboro) in power plants. Experience applying modeling, optimization, control and simulation technologies to industrial processes. Experience with data historians (PI, InSQL, others). Strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills. Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with computer hardware & Windows-based software.
