Location: Birmingham, AL, USA
Client located in Birmingham, AL is searching for a Principle Structural Engineer. This candidate will perform structural design and coordination of various municipal water treatment and distribution projects. Project work will involve the design of concrete, steel and masonry structures, as well as the structural analysis of existing facilities. Responsibilities will include establishing design criteria, performing design calculations and writing specifications. This candidate will review shop drawings and respond to RFIs (Request for Information). This candidate will coordinate and review work performed by consulting engineers. This candidate will design and provide project management of various projects such as pumping stations, pressure reducing stations, water mains and other improvements. This candidate will perform bid openings, prepare bid tabulation and make recommendations for award. This position requires a Bachelors Degree in Structural Engineering and 7 years of experience in structural design of environmental structures. This candidate should be proficient in STAAD Pro, MathCAD and be familiar with the IBC, ASCE 7, and ACI 318 and 350 codes. This candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD or Microstation. Professional Engineer (PE) License in Alabama or the ability to be registered in Alabama by way of Comity is required. Relocation is available for the right candidate
