Field Service Technician - AC/DC/Drives

This position is paid at an hourly rate and is eligible for overtime and double time pay. A leading control systems company is seeking a Field Service Electronic Technician for a direct hire position based in Dallas, TX. Candidate will provide both field and bench service of AC/DC drives & industrial electronics, including troubleshooting & repairing PC boards to component level. Candidate will inspect, service, repair and start-up equipment while maintaining good customer relations. Candidate must have an AS Degree in Electronics or similar field & 5+ years exp in the start-up and repair of AC and DC drives and drives systems. Candidate should be capable of reading wiring diagrams, electrical schematics and have a good understanding of ladder logic. Experience programming PLCs and HMIs preferred. 40 - 50% domestic & foreign travel required. • Helpful: Rate your specific exp in troubleshoot & repair of 1-4HP-2000HP drives, AC-PWM Inverters, DC-SCR Drives, general industrial electronics, & power generation controls. Indicate PLC and HMI programming exp.
