A company located in North Central North Carolina has an immediate need for a Sr. Process Engineer for a six-month contract position. The Sr. ALP Process Engineer will lead the development process for producing dry powder or spray drying drug/ vaccine formulations with controlled powder morphology. In addition to development of the process, responsibilities will include characterization of the powders made and linkage of these characteristics to the critical process variables. The Sr. ALP Process Engineer will have the responsibility of identifying new opportunities and initiating experimental programs that leverage the developed expertise in powder processing in other areas of company. This person will report to the manager of the Respiratory Powder Engineering group in Advanced Drug Delivery. All candidates applying for this position must have a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering with 2-5 years experience in the Pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred while a BS/MS in Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant research and development experience will be considered. Candidates should have experience in scale up pharmaceutical processes. Strength in fluid mechanics and heat/ mass transfer or protein/polymer phase behavior is highly desirable. The client must fill this position now; therefore, please present your resume today. Salary to be based on experience and knowledge. Per Diem must be negotiated with the client.
