Substation Engineer - Standards/Substation Design/Electrical

IMMEDIATE NEED FOR LONG TERM CONTRACT ASSIGNMENT located in the State of Ohio with a large company for multiple Substation Standards Electrical Engineers with experience in a design or project management position. This position requires 4-6 yrs experience in utility substation design and familiarity of national and local design codes and regulations. Requires 5+ years with physical and/or wiring experience. Proficient in AutoCad or Micro Station. Must be able to grasp things quickly and self motivated. Must have strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills. Must be experienced in detail design of medium to extra high voltage utility substations to include one-line diagrams, SCADA, communications, conduit and cable sizing/routing, substation physical layouts, selection of substation equipment, writing of substation equipment specifications, construction cost estimates and project scheduling. Experience in 15kV through EHV substation design preferred. Requires strong computer skills. Requires a BSEE degree from an accredited University with a P.E a Plus but not required. Some travel will be required with relocation and pay range flexibility to right candidate. This is a long term contract position. Per diem available for qualified candidates. These positions are available in the Central US.

• Describe your experience as a Substation Standards Electrical Engineer. Describe your experience with substation standards in a design or project management position.

• Describe your experience in utility substation design and familiarity of national and local design codes and regulations. Describe your experience with physical and-or wiring for substations. Are you proficient in AutoCad or Micro Station? Explain.

• Describe your ability to perform detail design of medium to extra high voltage utility substations to include one-line diagrams, SCADA, communications, conduit and cable sizing-routing, substation physical layouts, selection of substation equipment, writing of substation equipment specifications, construction cost estimates and project scheduling.

• Describe your experience in 15kV through EHV substation design. Do you have strong computer skills? Explain. Do you have a BSEE degree from an accredited University? Do you have an active P.E.? Explain.
