IMMEDIATE NEED in northern Mississippi for a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor who has 5 - 8 years work experience in a supervisory role and who presently holds a Bachelors degree in any of the following: Business Management, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Supply Chain Management. You MUST HAVE: an understanding of MRP and inventory principles; be proficient use of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook; proven experience in Lean Manufacturing and / or cellular manufacturing concepts; experience in medium to heavy fabrication and / or machining and assembly. In addition, you MUST BE highly safety oriented; and always be looking for ways to improve the product and the manufacturing process. The responsibilities of this position include: coordination for a 30 to 80 person manufacturing team; meeting production goals; monitoring systems / equipment operations; leading personnel in teamwork and the process of continuous improvement in the safe performance of their duties. You may assist in resolving department production problems relating to manpower, tooling, methods, plant layout, material handling and facilities Your compensation will be commensurate with your experience and expertise. Relocation assistance may be available for this position.
