Global company is seeking a Director of Operations with experience in directly supervising all Manufacturing Engineering, Machine Shop, Assembly, Logistics and Purchasing Department personnel. Requires a Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university; and 10 years' related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Six Sigma and/or lean manufacturing methods is helpful. Experience in process and analytical instrumentation--low volume, differentiated product mix, customized specs. Experience with the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all departments. Experience in directing and coordination of all activities of the Machine Shop, Assembly areas, Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics and the Purchasing Department in manufacturing instruments. Experience in planning and directing production activities, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products; coordinating production activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of employees, machines and equipment and to ensure products meet quality specifications. Ability to analyze production processes to improve product quality and lower COGS. Experience with flow of material, parts and assemblies within or between departments of the plant; reviews production scheduling operations, production and operating reports and resolving operational, manufacturing and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs, controlling manufacturing variances, managing inventory and to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications personally or through subordinate supervisors or managers. Must have supervisory experience performing in accordance with the policies and applicable laws. Experience should include: interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Relocation is available for the right candidate.

Describe your supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization-s policies and applicable laws. Additionally, your experience including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
