SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER needed for a highly regarded firm in North Carolina. Requires BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 10 years experience in designs related to hydropower generating stations and providing operations technical support. Need experience in specifying, designing, and supporting procurement for hydropower related components and other conventional power plant components such as compressors, valves, HVAC systems, cooling water, and other power plant mechanical systems. Need PE License or ability to obtain within 12 months. Periodic travel up to 20%.

Position will provide technical support for multidiscipline engineering teams supporting related power plant upgrades and major maintenance. Will perform hydropower plant evaluations; feasibility studies; develop cost estimates; design mechanical systems; develop equipment specifications; perform bid reviews; project management with a focus on technical quality cost, and schedule; support licensing activities; interface with clients; and support business development.
