A global supplier of Polyethylene Resins and Polyester Stable Fibers is actively searching for a Process Engineer for their Charleston, SC area operation. The Process Engineer's primary responsibilities will include technical and process support to operations for the fibers melt spinning areas by maintaining and improving mechanical reliability, operability, safety and cost. An ability to demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills is a must. Will interact with site/business operations, respond to business and customer needs, assist and participate with technical groups and business unit personnel to work toward improving process, product and/or quality variability while continually contributing to advancing our process capability. You will also provide process engineering support and leadership for capital projects. Above all, you must ensure that all your activities are carried out with integrity and in a safe and efficient manner. Candidates need a B.S. in Mechanical Engineer (Chemical Engineers would be considered) and have 3+ years experience in a chemical / manufacturing plant environment. Experience in fiber production would be a plus. The position pays a very competitive salary, full benefits, 401K and relocation assistance for qualified candidates.
