QA/QC Manager - QC/CWI/Manufacturing

Manufacturing client is looking for a QC/Welding Technology Manager for their boiler fabrication shop located south of Charlotte, NC. You will be responsible for all activities including but not limited to continuous development and improvement of quality processes, welding processes and procedures that support the manufacturing operations goals to increase profitability. You will be in charge of approving all Supplier Quality processes and documentation, supplier qualification, and meeting or exceeding customers quality expectations. You will be responsible for ASME qualification of welders, welding processes and procedures. You need to have a current CWI certificate. You should have a minimum of an NDT Level II certification and should have at least 5+ years of experience in a code shop. You will administer weld tests, set up and maintain WPS and PQR for welders, and perform weld test samples for welding machine setups. You must be able to interact/contact outside vendors for NDT requirements and be computer literate with the ability to respond to email, enter data, and prepare word documents and store in files on the computer. • Detail your technical knowledge developing & improving quality processes, welding processes and procedures in a manufacturing environment.

• Explain your NDT experience. What NDT certifications do you have?

• Do you have a CWI?

• Detail your experience administering weld tests, setting up and maintaining WPS and PQR for welders, and performing weld test samples for welding machine setups.
