Our client, a well established organization in Detroit, MI, is searching for a degreed Superintendent of Transportation Operations. Under direction, this person will plan, direct, and coordinate the vehicle operations activities of a large transportation system and will be responsible and accountable for providing services including terminal operations, inspection services, staff supervision, and related office and support activities. To qualify for this position, you MUST have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree with specialization in Traffic Engineering, Transportation, or Business Administration. In addition, you are REQUIRED to have a minimum of 4 years of experience in an administrative capacity necessitating the formulation of operation practices and procedures as well as planning, directing and supervising work of subordinates in a large urban transportation system. Only candidates with a valid state of Michigan drivers license will be considered for this position because you may be required to provide and operate a motor vehicle on a mileage reimbursed basis.
