Client is searching for a Field Technical Advisor. This is a contract position to last approximately one year. The Field Technical Advisor is on-site and oversees the erection of air cooled condensers. The person in this position works directly with customers, sub-contractors and the clients Project Managers to ensure project success. This candidate will use structural steel engineering skills to ensure that project specifications are met. Oversees erection activities and troubleshoots any problems or issues and works with them until they are resolved. This candidate will support the Procurement and Quality Assurance Managers in field receiving activities; reviews supplier documentation, performs inspections of material received at the project site. A Bachelors of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred but not required for this position. A minimum of 8 years of experience with the design and analysis of large scale steel structure, ducting, power plant construction, steel fabrication or related industries (experience can be either as a superintendent or field engineer) is required. This candidate must have extensive experience with large-scale structural and civil engineering projects with a power plant supplier or heavy industrial equipment for a power or related industry. This candidate must be willing to travel to and work at construction sites. This candidate must be able to read and understand steel erection fabrication drawings. Per Diem is being offered for qualified candidates.
