Our client, a leading provider of electronic manufacturing services to original equipment manufactures of computers and related products, is actively searching for a degreed individual to join their global organization in the role of a Reliability Engineer III appx. 1 1/2 to 2 hrs south of Minneapolis. Primarily, the individual who assumes this position will be responsible for understanding and executing functions under the design assurance discipline for the development engineering group including, but not limited to, reliability engineering, compliance engineering, and regulatory affairs along with working with manufacturing support groups to understand the requirements of the production environment inclusive of providing project leadership, mentoring, and training for engineers. The three general areas of responsibility are Reliability Engineering, Compliance Engineering, and Regulatory affairs where you will work with hardware/software test development, MCAD, ECAD, SDE, and Business Unit Teams to effectively transition solutions to production. He/She will support an all shift production environment and will have the ability to demonstrate engineering level understanding of electronic components, circuits, and systems and skill in advanced troubleshooting of electronic circuits in addition to exhibiting extreme confidentiality and the ability to travel 10%-20% of the time. To qualify for this great opportunity, you MUST have a 4-year technical/engineering degree (preferably in electrical engineering or related studies, 8 plus years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry, familiarity with regulatory bodies such as the FDA, agency certifications such as EMC, and reliability engineering concepts. In addition, it is REQUIRED that you have intermediate knowledge of desktop publishing and spreadsheet applications along with experience in six-sigma concepts with a preference for green belt certification and preference for a Certified Reliability Engineer accreditations. Salary for this position is commensurate with experience so all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
