A well established growing company has a hands on Senior Structural Engineer need in their office near Chicago, IL. This position will be responsible to supervise and coordinate all civil and structural project activities associated with substation design projects. This will include assigning tasks to the civil design team, working with the project team to create or modify all civil and structural design documents related to steel and foundation detail drawings, and to apply engineering application software for the design of structural steel, foundations and site preparation, etc. To be considered you must have a knowledge of structural analysis and a knowledge and understanding of steel and concrete design. A knowledge and understanding of substation components and their functions and of common engineering application software is desired. An understanding and ability to ensure the civil team applies engineering standards including NESC, IEEE, ANSI, AISC and ACI is required. A Illinois SE licence is required. Great location and client offers excellent salary, benefits, and bonus plan. Out of town travel may be required for short periods of time as needed by projects and assignments. Relocation will be considered for eligible candidates.
