Manufacturer of unique computers and computer peripheral products near Montgomery, AL is in search of two Mechanical Engineers for immediate direct hire positions. The types of positions are Mechanical Design Engineer and Mechanical Sustainment Engineer. Qualified candidates will have a BSME and three or more years of experience in a hands on product design environment with the requisite mechanical aptitude, visualization, and problem solving skills. You must have strong experience designing computer or computer peripheral type equipment and hands on design of circuit boards. Other qualifications include; CAD 2D, 3D, and solids modeling of complex objects, sheet metal, die cast, injection molded enclosures, plastics and other fabricated piece parts, thermal design and analysis and understanding of advanced mechanical design concepts and manufacturing processes, an understanding of military program requirements and standards e.g. MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461. Experience with design for exposure to severe shock and vibration, sand /dust, rain, humidity and salt environments as well as emissions containment is a plus.
