Leading manufacturer of carbon black has an immediate need for a Carbon Black Instrument Engineer at its suburban Fort Worth, TX location. Ideal candidate will have a BSEE and 5 - 10 years Instrumentation and Controls Engineering experience in carbon black manufacturing facility (bulk materials handling, pneumatic conveying, high temperature refractory lined equipment, large pumps, heat exchangers, fired dryers, bag filters, conveyors, bucket elevators, blowers and fans), development of new process controls for new products, furnace controls, cogeneration systems. Individual should also have experience in new unit start-up, new product development, application of new instrumentation and control technology to existing plant production equipment and processes. Position will be responsible for instrument engineering activities in support of furnace grade carbon black manufacturing to include engineering new process control development, DCS programming and support, (experience with Siemens PCS 7 / Emerson Delta V is beneficial), process control optimization of existing facilities, plant expansions, equipment upgrades, equipment additions, instrument troubleshooting, plant debottlenecking studies, and process hazard review.
