A large energy company in Central United States is actively searching for a Systems Planning Engineer for its corporate office located in eastern Kansas. This position is responsible for providing support for System and Interconnected Operation Dispatch. This will require the Systems Planning Engineer to maintain databases, develop construction budgets proposals, evaluate interconnect requests, review calculations for transmission transfer capabilities, and review and producing reports for agencies and workgroups. Candidates applying for this position must have a minimum of a BSEE for an ABET accredit program and 3 years of utility experience. Candidates must have basic knowledge of electric transmission, generation, and distribution systems modeling and power flow analysis. It is a plus for candidates having a working knowledge of PTI PSS/E software. The salary range for this position is estimates and your salary will be determined on your knowledge, experience, and what you bring to the position. For example, candidates having a PE and have extensive utility knowledge will generate move interest and bring a higher salary.
