Western New York state environmental company seeks a Bid & Proposal Cost Analyst. This position performs complex functions under general supervision and reports to the Senior Management Team. Candidate MUST HAVE: Bachelors degree (at minimum) in Accounting or Business with accounting experience; 2-3 years Cost accounting; Federal Acquisition Regulations and contracting experience a plus; 4+ years direct or related experience; Excellent written and oral communication skills. CPEs in Accounting and Contracting a plus. Candidates from a production background with transferable skills will be considered. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement pricing strategies using contract requirements; Analyze requests for proposals and prepare bid estimates; Utilize cost accounting concepts, statistical methods and financial models; Apply the Federal Acquisition Regulation to the proposal process as required; Ensure the bid package is consistent with disclosed accounting practices; Supply accurate price verification; Manage time to meet multiple deadlines.
