Licensing Engineer - International/Nuclear/CANDU

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Licensing Analyst to perform licensing activities for Canadian and international nuclear organizations and facilitates, including but not limited to nuclear power generating and research facilities, nuclear waste projects and government agencies at their Southeast, Canada location. The successful candidate MUST display competent technical and organization skills to understand, track and facilitate the resolution of a variety of licensing issues. Specifically, this includes planning and implementing licensing strategies; liaising with clients and regulatory agencies; preparing licensing documentation and ensuring appropriate quality assurance standards are maintained throughout all activities. The qualified candidate will have a science or engineering degree, with five years or more relevant experience. Candidates with less experience may be considered. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with clients, team members, regulatory agencies and/or to the public. MUST be familiar with the Canadian nuclear regulatory environment, including the CNSC guidelines and standards. Must be able to work in a project driven environment with the capability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and within project constraints. Must be able to plan organize and prioritize multiple task and have strong attention to detail and to quality assurance requirements. An understanding of CANDU technology is an asset. Language skills other than English are an asset. Advanced information research capabilities are an asset. Client is offering competitive, salary and benefits. Salary listed is an estimate only.
