A major player in the Aerospace industry is actively searching for a Controls Engineer for a Contract position that can become a Permanent position. This position, which is located in North central United States, is assigned to a multidisciplinary team that tests structures and materials used in these structures found and used in the space program. Some of the job responsibilities for the Controls Engineer are running diagnostics of aircraft propulsion systems, working with and testing controls and parameter estimation of aircraft propulsion systems, and working with various application software packages. It is highly desirable for candidates having experience with aircraft engine gas-path performance diagnostics programs and having experience with Matlab and Simulink. Programming experience in C, C++ and Fortran is strongly preferred. All candidates applying for this position must have either a Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering degree. This position can be an entry-level position, but candidates have at 5 years of experience will have an advantage. It is estimated that this position requires 25% travel. Relocation and/or Per Diem must be negotiated with the client. The client wants to fill this position as soon as possible; therefore, make your submittal as soon as possible and answer the provided question.
