IMMEDIATE OPENING-Global specialty chemicals and materials manufacturer of high temperature materials for the aerospace industry has an opportunity for a Research Engineer in the Rochester, MN area. This position will be responsible for working with company engineers, scientists, customers, etc to obtain indepth understanding of their processing and manufacturing challenges and to help them solve these challenges by identifying modifications to their existing processes and to assist the Company in its own Materials & Processes. In addition this position will provide support to other projects/scientists in product development;; track key composite manufacturing technologies and report progress/status and recommend courses of action. Act as focal point for process engineering issues within Product Development/Process Development; prepare monthly reports tracking status, progress of all projects under their supervision. To be considered for this position you must as a minimum have a BS in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, composite engineering; must have 5-10 years experience working with composites, resins, etc; have familiarity with general laboratory practices and the steps required to go from raw materials to coupons/parts for testing. Experience, knowledge, or training in formulation and expertise in polyimide chemistry and composite part fabrication. Certified six sigma skills green belt or black belt. Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder. APPLY TODAY.
