A Major manufacturer of packaging products for the fast food and food service industries with plants in CA, IL, NC, PA, and Canada is ACTIVELY seeking a Print and Die Cutting Engineer. This position will be the primary engineer responsible for all printing and die cutting processes, equipment, installations, modifications and related systems. Candidate will perform a variety of engineering work in the planning, design, installation, start-up, training, and auditing of printing/cutting equipment and systems project work, with a focus on optimization of overall productivity results. Candidate will review and approve all Capital Authorization Applications in the printing/cutting area. Review to include economics and engineering feasibility and scope verification. Contribute to the development, maintenance, and implementation of long-term (5-year) capital planning and annual capital budgets for printing/cutting equipment and systems. Independently investigate and propose new technologies for application to existing and future printing/cutting manufacturing needs. Must be willing to relocate to Sacramento, Stockton, Oakland, CA area.
The ideal candidate will possess: A minimum of 5 years of exp in manufacturing, preferable in the paperboard converting industry. A Bachelors degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or similar area. Extensive knowledge and understanding of Printing and Die Cutting
