Client located in central New Jersey has a two to three month contract opening for a Buying/Procurement Specialist. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager this position will be responsible for ensuring that purchased items or services are ordered from the selected supplier and delivered at the right time, right cost and in conformance with specifications. The primary responsibility for this position will be following up the FTEs components / manufacturers & suppliers targeting delivery and following up payment as previously agreed and acknowledged by suppliers. You will also monitor suppliers delivery performance for assigned commodities or services, return defective unit(s) to supplier, implement /comply with supplier agreement/contract, maintain data integrity in the manufacturing systems, solve reception and invoice discrepancies, and prepare periodic reports as agreed with management. A four year degree is a must to be considered. Local candidate or those willing to relocate on their own as there is no per diem for this position.
