Client seeking a Sr. R&D Project Engineer who has experience working in the medical device industry providing project management in the design, manufacture and documentation medical devices, preferably fiber optics. This is a contract to direct opportunity. Candidate should have a strong understanding and knowledge of the following standards; ISO 9001, EN 46001 and FDA Quality System Regulations. The candidate will be responsible for new product introductions as well as sustaining engineering of existing products. It is a requirement for the candidate to be able to take on multiple tasks such as managing the design, development and manufacturing introduction of new and/or revised products consistent with intended cost, schedule and technical requirements, Bills of Material, test processes and procedures.
Questions you will be asked:

• Do you experience working in the medical device industry? How many years?

• Which medical device standards are you knowledgeable in?

• Please describe your experience as a Project Engineer.

• Do you have a BSEE or MSEE?

• Have you managed the design, development of both new and existing products?
