Client located outside of Kansas City, KS is searching for a RF- Systems Engineer. The Systems Engineer will work in a development atmosphere with a cross-functional team to design, verify and product new RF test instruments and modifications to existing RF instruments. The systems engineer will lead and participate in the translation of customer need to design and verification requirements. This will include requirement development and management as well as V&V (verification and validation) activities. The Systems Engineer will assist in planning the system integration for new instruments so that the various system components are brought together in a logical sequence in order to avoid wasted effort. The Systems Engineer will participate in isolation, diagnosis, and correction of problems discovered during integration and verification activities. The candidate should have experience from proposal to successful systems integration, testing and acceptance. The candidate needs to have a working knowledge and experience with Requirements management tools such as DOORS, etc. The candidate must be able to establish acceptance criteria for complex instruments. The candidate must have experience in identifying dependencies and aligning the lifecycles of different system elements. This position requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Engineering (Masters or PhD preferred) and 8 years of systems engineering and/or technical project team lead experience on complex programs in the RF instrumentation or RF communications industry. Experience in designing RF circuits in the range 100kHz to 6GHz (such as receivers, generators, modulators, demodulators, power detectors, frequency synthesizers, up-and-down converters, amplifier, filters). Relocation is available for the right candidate.
