A client located in California is actively searching for a senior level engineer or geologist Technical Leader position located in the metropolitan Atlanta area. This position is responsible for providing company-wide technical leadership in performance based contract type remediation projects with focus on successful site closures. The position requires working in a team based environment with several project delivery teams on multiple projects across the U.S. simultaneously, coordinating closely with other technical leaders in their specialty areas and assisting project staff in planning, bidding and executing their projects. The Technical Leader will have risk mitigation and technical responsibility for company-wide projects, including strategic and tactical direction, and technical accuracy of proposed approaches. Project responsibilities include issue identification, risk mitigation strategies, execution tactics, planning support and final technical reviews during proposal, design, construction, and O&M phases of projects. The ideal candidate will have 5 years detailed involvement with Performance Based Contract projects with a minimum of 15 years overall remedial design and remedial action experience, including experience with the Department of Defense. Candidates applying for this position must have a BS degree in Geology or Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution, current 40-Hour HAZWOPER training & refreshers required. Professional registration capable of comity with several states required. There are other location being considered for this position; however, at this time Atlanta, Georgia, is the preferred location.
