Manufacturer of consumer electronics based in Florida has an immediate need for a Director of Electrical Engineering. The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of proven management experience with a total of 10+ years as a systems designer of consumer electronics products. Experience in the aerospace or medical instrumentation industries is also acceptable. Strong working knowledge of analog and digital hardware design, Class A and D amplifier design, RF control systems using Wi-Fi, mesh networks (Zigbee), AM/FM radio, HD and DAB radio, XM, Sirius. Other experience with power supply design, display design (both LED and LCD), IR control systems. Must have experience with SPICE or MATLAB design software, signal processing chip set application (SHARC) and embedded microprocessor design. Experience work with a multi-million dollar engineering department budget. Responsibilities will be to lead electrical engineering staff through full lifecycle of product development, work with upper management to develop products that enhance company's product portfolio, and develop department policies and procedures, Chosen candidate must be able to travel both domestically and internationally. Company offers an excellent benefits package that includes medical and 401k with an excellent matching program. Relocation package is available for chosen candidate.
