Large National Ship Building Company has an immediate needs for an experienced Electrical Designers at their Avondale, LA location. This person will be responsible for developing design models / drawings according to engineering diagrams and ship specifications. Basic Qualifications: Applicant requires 10 + marine electrical experience with 5 to 7 years shipboard cable routing and wireway development experience. Must be familiar with Mil-Spec cable types and sizes, cable bend radius requirements and have a good understanding of electrical equipment cable entry. Applicants must posses a strong working knowledge of DOD-STD-2003, be able to make independent decisions with little supervision. Position normally requires an associate degree in drafting/design or applicable technical field plus four years drafting experience. Experience in ISDP and AutoCAD required
