Client located NW outside the perimeter of Atlanta has a temp to perm, possible immediate direct hire opening for a technically oriented candidate with purchasing experience. Working in the engineering department this position will be mainly responsible for working with internal and external customers in materials identification, specifications, selection, and sourcing and then to define all the information on material as delivered, pricing, lead time etc. Candidates must have a strong background in materials knowledge, ideally from a manufacturing environment working with a variety of materials such as papers, plastic films, foams, rubber, etc. in addition to a strong purchasing background. Good communication skills and a solid technical base knowledge are a must as you will work directly with customers to help them determine material(s) needs that may not be fully specified on drawings, etc. Candidates must have at minimum an Associates Degree in a technical trade with a technically oriented BS degree being ideal. Salary listed is an approximation so all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. Local candidates preferred although relocation assistance may be considered for highly qualified candidates.

• How many total years experience do you have working in a purchasing - buyer role? How many years in a manufacturing or similar environment working with materials such as papers, plastic films, foams, etc? Do you have an AS or BS degree and what discipline?

• Please share your experience that will show a technical base knowledge of materials and the ability to work directly with customers to help them determine material(s) needs that may not be fully specified on drawings, etc.

• What specific experience will show your ability in materials identification, specifications, selection, and sourcing and then to define all the information on material as delivered, pricing, lead time etc.

• Where do you currently live and why are you interested in a position located NW outside the perimeter of Atlanta? Will you consider this as a temp to hire or direct hire only? If not local will you require relocation assistance?

• What is your current or most recent annual salary (please break down base, bonus, etc.) and what is your desired annual salary for this position?
