Worldwide Manufacturer of Medical Equipment has an IMMEDIATE opening in their Southwestern California facility, North of Los Angeles, for a hands on Electrical Technician. This is a CONTRACT POSITION. Associate degree in engineering (Electrical, Manufacturing or other engineering discipline), other technical Certified degree equivalent, or higher. Must have Strong verbal and written communication skills. Technician with THREE YEARS PLUS strong Manufacturing experience and some medical device experience. Responsible for assembly, test, troubleshooting and failure investigation of electronic circuits and assemblies, including test fixtures, bread boards and final product. Demonstrated ability and experience in fast pace high quality soldering of very small outline components, maintenance of laboratory equipment, use of standard laboratory tools such as meters, oscilloscopes, calipers and drills. Tasks performed will be results, quality and process oriented. Good communication skills, both written and verbal are essential for capturing details of work performed and explaining tasks and analysis in team setting. Must have experience with Windows operating systems, computer networks, and with schematic capture tools such as OrCAD. Must be skilled at using electronic lab equipment such as scopes, DMM and spectrum analyzers, IPC Certified Solderer, and with BGA rework stations Salary is commensurate with experience.
