IMMEDIATE NEED! Leading provider of quality engineered electrical control systems and consulting services is actively searching for a Project / Controls Engineer for their Chesapeake, VA area operation. The Project / Controls Engineer will take ownership and accountability for project management and project engineering responsibilities which include: project estimating, scheduling, tracking, control systems design, specification, programming, simulation, testing, and start-up. Other specific duties include electrical panel layout and electrical design, development of bill of materials and wiring drawings and schematics and the development and implementation of standard engineering documentation including job bid packages, engineering drawings, engineering test plans, technical manuals etc. Candidate must have proven experience with visioning and video integration as well as PLC logic and programming with any of the following: Allen Bradley, Modicon, GE Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Toshiba, etc.; and HMI or SCADA programming and configuration of any of the following software packages Wonderware, Rockwell, Intellution, GE Cimplicity, Ci-Tech, Iconics, Siemens, US Data, Web Studio,etc. The candidate must have experience reading and red-lining electrical schematics and P&ID drawings. Qualified candidates need a BS Degree in Engineering. 1+ year experience in a similar position is required and shipboard experience is a plus.
