ELECTRICAL DESIGN - HOUSTON!!!

SENIOR ELECTRICAL DESIGNER opportunity for a VERY LONG TERM CONTRACT at a highly regarded firm in Houston, TX. Education OPEN. Need 8+ years experience in areas such as: one line design, grounding design, lighting design, electrical equipment layout, switchgear wiring diagrams interconnection diagrams, motor control schematics, cable tray design and cable tray loading, and developing construction bids/contracts. Prefer knowledge of NEC codes and IEC codes and equipment. A PLUS to have Microstation skills. A PLUS to have experience in the Chemical Industry.

Position will support design for petrochemical plant upgrades and expansion projects including development of one line design, grounding design, lighting design, electrical equipment layout, switchgear wiring diagrams interconnection diagrams, motor control schematics, cable tray design, cable tray loading, and developing construction bids/contracts.

Generous Salary based on depth of qualifications, extent of experience, amount of relevant chemical industry experience, and education or training. VERY LONG contract potential so NO relo or per diem.
Questions you will be asked:

• Please describe your ELECTRICAL DESIGN experience (particularly that related to the Petrochemical or Chemical industry) in the areas of: One line design, grounding design, lighting design, electrical equipment layout, switchgear wiring diagrams interconnection diagrams, motor control schematics, cable tray design and cable tray loading, and developing construction bids-contracts. Please note the industries in which you have electrical design experience.

• VERY HELPFUL: Please characterize you knowledge of NEC codes and IEC codes and equipment.

• A PLUS: Please rate your proficiency with Microstation on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 high.

• Please list your education and relevant training and any certifications.
