CIVIL STRUCTURAL DESIGNER opportunity in Pittsburgh, PA metro. Temp-to-Perm at 6 months. Education OPEN. Requires 10+ years experience as a civil structural designer and working knowledge of Microstation Version 7. A PLUS to know Version 8 XM or 3D. Experience MUST be in heavy industrial applications such as chemical plants, refineries, power plants, steel mill or equivalent heavy industry applications.
Position will develop structural steel and reinforced concrete designs for upgrades, expansions, and new facilities related to chemical plants, refineries, power plants, steel mill or other heavy industrial facilities. Will team in establishing scope requirements, performing design calculations, developing design details, checking calculations and drawings, interfacing across disciplines to develop an integrated design, preparing Bills of Material, and supporting the Project Engineers in resolving design and construction issues.
Great opportunity at a Salary Rate based on qualifications, depth of experience, level of training, and education. Temp-to-Perm at 6 months so no per diem or travel expenses.
