Location: Austin, TX, USA
A utility engineering and construction contractor in Austin, TX is looking for an Estimator / Materials Manager for substation and transmission construction projects in the southwest (Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas and New Mexico). You will prepare cost estimates, proposals and material take-offs for transmission and substation projects as well as solicit proposals from vendors and subcontractors. Projects vary in size and complexity, from $100K to multi millions of dollars. You will also develop and maintain a cost estimating database and be comfortable in estimating a range of accuracy. You should have some experience using spreadsheets and other estimating software. Candidates must have experience preparing projects for an electrical utility construction, engineering, or EPC company. Experience in design and construction of transmission lines and substations is a huge plus. Educational background is flexible - Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, Business, or Engineering fields are all highly desirable, Some extended travel to project sites will be required. Excellent benefits are provided, and relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

This is a full time position and the client is open to contract or direct hire.
