Lead Engineer - Assistant Chief/Electrical Engineer/EPC 80-115 K/yr

Location: Newark, NJ, USA
Immediate position available in New Jersey (Northern) for a Lead Electrical Engineer to serve as Assistant Chief of the organization. Requires a minimum of 13 years experience with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory position. Requires a BSEE with a Masters Degree preferred and a PE Required. Experience in detailed design of large power generation projects and transmission / distribution. substation projects. Must be experienced and familiarity with NEC, ANSI/IEEE standards, UL and NEMA standards. Experience should include preparation of one line diagrams including selection and application.of protective relaying, checking of electrical power system calculations, including short circuit, load flow, relay coordination and equipment sizing calculations. Supervisory experience in directing electrical engineering and design staff personnel. Experience with reviewing technical accuracy and approving diagrams, drawings, calculations, studies, specifications and other documents. Qualified individuals must have the ability to prepare assessments of existing electrical systems, including age, code compliance, operability, and suitability for expansion. Relocation will be considered for the qualified individual.

• Describe your experience to develop and approve all electrical design documents, including one-line diagrams, specifications, calculations, schematic and physical drawings, bid evaluations and reports. Describe your ability to prepare assessments of existing electrical systems, including age, code compliance, operability, and suitability for expansion. Do you have current knowledge and experience with industry electrical codes and standards, including NEC.
