I&C Technician - I&C/Electrical/Maintenance

Location: Albany, NY, USA
Client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for an IC&E Maintenance Technician with 5+ years of hands on maintenance experience in a power plant or similar heavy industrial plant (refinery, process, steel mill, etc...) environment. You will be responsible for proper operation, trouble shooting, maintenance, calibration, and tuning of the plants instrumentation and electrical equipment. You need to be an experienced journeyman level Instrument Technician with plant electrical (up to 480 V) knowledge and experience. A thorough understanding of plant instrumentation, transmitters (smart & otherwise), DCS, PLCs, CEMS is required. You will manage preventative maintenance tasks and record preventative maintenance activities using a computerized maintenance management system (SAP). Experience with trouble shooting continuous emissions monitors (CEMs), Ovation Distributed Controls System, Allen Bradley PLCs Field View valve controllers and other power plant grade instruments, along with IEE certification and ANSI/ISA-67.14.01-2000 Instrument and Control Certification is a big plus!! Our client is looking for candidates local to the Albany, NY area, but will relocate on their own expense. Great pay, bonus potential, benefits, & 401k available.
Questions you will be asked:

• How many years of experience do you have as an IC&E Maintenance Technician in a power plant or similar heavy industrial plant (refinery, process, steel mill, etc...) environment?

• On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the best) rate your hands on Maintenance skills in all three areas: electrical, instrumentation & controls.

• Do you have any experience troubleshooting continuous emissions monitors (CEMs), Ovation Distributed Controls System, and Allen Bradley PLCs Field View valve controllers?

• Are you local to the Albany, NY area? If not, are you willing to relocate on your own?

• This is a Union position that starts at $34 an hour. Is this acceptable to you?
