IMMEDIATE NEED!!! Client located near Albany, NY has an immediate need for an Engineering Manager for the CAD Design Group. The primary focus of this position is to provide direction and supervision of the CAD Design Group and Prototype Build Technicians and to improve the overall through-put of the department. Requirements should include: B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering; At least 7 years experience with Solidworks; Knowledge and expertise in CAD systems to select the most effective engineering design software packages; Knowledge of common design features and manufacturing processes associated with precision rotating equipment; Proven track record of supervision; Ability to lead and motivate a team. A key responsibility will be the migration of the department to Solidworks CAD software. Additional responsibilities will consist of: Employee reviews; Disciplinary actions; Department budgets and purchasing decisions for new CAD software and hardware; Effective management of the overall documentation process and prototype fabrication.
