URGENT NEED! Northeastern Virginia (Springfield) engineering and technology firm needs a skilled contract or temp-to-perm CADD Designer / Drafter to start immediately. Must have recent Mechanical drafting experience. The company is involved in the design, construction, and testing of high-temperature process systems. Candidates MUST HAVE: Technical Institute training or Associates degree with CADD training with 3 years of work experience; General facilities design experience; Knowledge of process equipment design, operations, and maintenance; Working knowledge of relevant ASME, OSHA, NEC, NFPA codes and regulations; Experience with AutoCAD 2007 or SolidWorks, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access). RESPONSIBILITIES: Create and edit 2-D CADD drawings and 3-D CADD models (with derived 2-D views); Create and edit P&IDs, PFDs, electrical schematics, panel layouts, foundations, footings, etc.; Draw and edit models and views such as site layouts, equipment arrangements, pressure vessels, piping isometrics, support steel and structures, assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, fabrication drawings, interface drawings, etc.; Conform with and enforce company / design / drafting / engineering /document control standards.
